FAQ

What size urn do I need?

Follow this simple rule of thumb and you will purchase the correct size urn 99% of the time. 1lb. of body weight = 1 cubic inch of ash

Examples: a 200lb. person will need an urn that is 200 cubic inches or large a 150lb. person will need an urn that is 150 cubic inches or larger a 100lb. person or pet will need an urn that is 100cubic inches or larger a 50lb. person or pet will need an urn that is 50cubic inches or larger a 25lb. person or pet will need an urn that is 25 cubic inches or larger a 10lb. person or pet will need an urn that is 10 cubic inches or larger

NOTE: Cremated remains can vary due to different cremation processes, therefore we do suggest purchasing a slightly larger urn than is calculated for to avoid having the urn be too small for the ashes. Remember an urn can't be too big, only too small.

Yes. Many of our customers do this. Your choice will come down to which urn is most appealing to you.

Can I use an Urn for scattering ashes?

Yes. Sometimes people wish to scatter cremated remains in a location that holds special memories. After the scattering, the urn is often used to hold personal items of the deceased. These items may include as an example, a watch, ring or some dried flowers from the ceremony. The urn can also be used as a vase to hold flowers. Scattering of the remains is most easily accomplished by using a top loaded cremation urn, but this is not essential.

What should I do with my Urn?

Urns that hold cremated remains can be buried in a grave, placed in a crypt in a mausoleum, or placed in a niche in a columbarium. They can also be kept at home in that special place of your choosing, which is the most popular choice among our customers.
